ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø MyChart for Inpatients

Your ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø MyChart account can be used at all ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø HealthCare hospitals to stay actively engaged and participate in your inpatient treatment. 

With the ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø MyChart Bedside experience, your medical information will be updated in real time when you're admitted to a hospital within the ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø HealthCare network. By using a personal mobile device with the MyChart app enabled, you (and your loved ones with proxy access) will be able to access up-to-date information that's shared to your ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø MyChart account. You can: 

  • Learn who is on your care team.
  • View labs and vital-sign results throughout your inpatient stay.
  • Check on upcoming scheduled procedures and new medications.
  • Request pastoral care.
  • Record text, audio or video notes to discuss with your caregiver.
  • Read educational material assigned to you.
  • Access all of the material already saved in your account.

Proxy access for primary caregivers

Please talk to your loved one’s nurse about completing a proxy form to be able to access a patient’s ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø MyChart account if you are their primary caregiver and are considered the agent to make legal health care decisions.

Otherwise, your loved one may grant permission for you to view their medical information from their existing ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø MyChart account. The proxy will also need an active ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø MyChart account as well as access to the MyChart app on a mobile device. Please review the following details about proxy access to get started.

Once a patient is admitted to an ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø inpatient bed, patients and proxies with an active ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø MyChart account will receive a notification (depending on their communication preferences) that encourages them to use the mobile app to view information about the hospital stay. 

Communicating with your nurse

ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø MyChart does not replace the traditional call light. Please continue to use the call light if you need to speak with your nurse about any time-sensitive questions or concerns. But you can use the Notes function in the app to help you remember specifically what you want to discuss.

Request a tablet

If you do not bring your laptop or mobile device to the hospital, or if you do not have an ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø MyChart account, ask your nurse if an ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø MyChart Bedside enabled tablet is available for your use.

Where applicable, the ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø MyChart Bedside app is installed on hospital-provided tablets for the purpose of sharing medical information while admitted. Once you open the app, you can log in or create an ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø MyChart account where you can access real-time medical information throughout your stay. All hospital-provided tablets are secure. After a tablet is removed from a patient's room, it is restored to its factory settings, and no previous patient information remains on it.

After your discharge

Once you are discharged, the content created during your stay will be sent to your ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø MyChart account, where you can access it 24/7.
